still here!
I know I know, there haven’t been that many updates lately. Not because there’s nothing going on, rather because there’s so much going on. But we’re still there! Apart from the big things, small things are keeping us busy… surfing, playing ultimate, winning pub quizzes, tramping.
Fixing my Powerbook adapter - it stopped working after sparks emerged from one end of the cable - by sawing the plug in half, resoldering the wires and sealing it by forming a new plug with epoxy resin:
And today I was playing with the neighbour’s dog when we both tried to grab the same branch, at the same time, at the same spot. The enthousiastic dog accidentally put her teeth in my finger, resulting in a bloody mess, a tetanus shot and five days of antibiotics. Nothing serious, I’ll be fine!
Meanwhile, it’s a beautiful autumn. It’s getting cooler but the weather has been great, apart from the odd southerly and a shower every now and then.
