On thursday 7 September we will depart from Schiphol. A bunch of you have asked us at what time we’re going to be at the airport, for that last dramatic goodbye. Well… first of all, we’re not leaving the planet (just this side of it). Secondly, we love a bit of drama ourselves, so we fully understand that some of you might want to come to the airport to say goodbye.
7 September at seven in the evening, we’ll be waiting for you in the appropriate hall - we’re not sure exactly where, but check the monitors at the airport and proceed to the place where you would go if it was your flight.
Our flight schedule (times in local time zone):

I have a bunch of spray cans ready for the taking! I used them to create artwork on the skateboards I built, but most cans have plenty of paint left… So, come pick up my twelve cans of spray paint for free, or I’ll throw’em away! (How’s that for a threat
)

A big thanks to all our frisbeeing friends at UFO (Utreg Frisbee Organisation), who threw a surprise party for us yesterday! The setup was very elaborate and we didn’t see it coming at all! Instead of a nice and quiet evening of Klaverjassen (a dutch card game) at Jeltsje and Rob’s place, we were sent out on a walking tour, and we met more and more friends along the way. We ended up at David’s backyard that was full of friends, drinks and a barbecue. Excellent dudes!!!!

One of the nice things about moving is that it provides an excellent opportunity to get rid of those items that are collected over the years and held on to for sentimental reasons.
One of the sad things about moving is that the time has come to part with my classic Apple collection. I have a beautiful Apple //e, a few old Macintoshes and even a rare Apple /// for sale.

Last week, I said goodbye to my colleagues at Func., where I worked as a software developer. I hope they’ll miss me as much as I’ll miss them, despite the fact that they had to cope with my loudly voiced contrarian opinions, loud shirts, wild mood swings, stubbornnes and my inclination to do things The Right Way(tm), as opposed to just trying to get the job done in a timely fashion.

We said goodbye to our car yesterday, a beautiful 1986 Volkswagen T3 Westfalia camper, a four wheeled instant holiday. It was the first car we owned, the car that brought us to our surfbreaks and to many other places. I wish it will bring its new owners as much joy as it did us!
